A Brand-New Tata Harrier Started rusting in Just 6 months. Introduction:In August 2022, we purchased our brand-new Tata Harrier (TATA MOTORS HARRIER XZA Daytona Grey 5-Seater). However, after only six months, we began noticing rust on multiple parts of the car. Despite bringing this issue to the attention of Tata Showroom – VIJAYABHARATHI AUTOMOBILES PRIVATE LIMITED in Chittoor and Tirupati, we received no response or action for five weeks.Communication Efforts:As a result, I sent an email to [email protected] regarding the issue, which was then forwarded to the same showroom where I bought the vehicle. They conducted a visual inspection and provided a report stating that rust had formed in four places. However, they failed to investigate the reasons for rusting, the quality and thickness of the paint, or any other potential factors. Upon personally inspecting the car, I discovered rust in ten different places, indicating a lack of interest in resolving the customer’s issue.Unsatisfactory Resolution:After much back-and-forth, the Tata Showroom (VIJAYABHARATHI AUTOMOBILES PRIVATE LIMITED) offered to repaint the car, which I rejected. Repainting a brand-new car is not a viable solution, as it merely serves as a temporary cover-up. Additionally, this option would decrease the car’s value by 40%, resulting in a significant loss of 8 to 10 lakhs in value. Why should I bear the punishment for Tata’s mistakes?Lack of Responsiveness:Despite my repeated requests for assistance, Tata Motors failed to respond adequately. Moreover, they closed my ticket (CaseID: 21631) without my consent. Consequently, I have decided to take matters into my own hands, bring this issue to a public forum, and seek a resolution.Demands:My demand is simple: I want the vehicle to be returned, and a full refund of the total amount to be issued. I have no desire to own a car that will deteriorate to the point of being scrap before the life tax expires. Instead, I want a car that provides safety and comfort for myself, and my family feel safe and comfortable and tata car is not one among them.
